Today has been one of the hardest days of our lives. Our sweet boy Ralphy suddenly became extremely unwell - he stopped eating, was vomiting, wouldn’t leave his bed, and became frighteningly weak. We rushed him to the animal hospital, and after urgent testing, the vets discovered he is severely anaemic. He is currently in the intensive care unit at the animal hospital.

His red blood cell count is 16% (they should be 30–36%), his gums are pale, and his heart rate is dangerously high. The vets told us that without a blood transfusion, he will not survive.

The cost of the transfusion and emergency care is $10,000.

This is an amount our family simply cannot afford right now, but we are devastated at the thought of losing him. He is only 5 years old, full of love, and such a big part of our family’s heart.

We are doing everything we can, but we can’t save him alone.
