Sleep Rover is and has always been about building community, and during these uncertain, scary times community is what we need most.
As we continue to look after dogs affected by this pandemic, whether it be to help you work from home more effectively, caring for the dogs of frontline workers, or those who are still trying to get home from abroad...but I can't help but feel we should be doing MORE.
I wanted to find a way to support both local businesses and the frontline workers who are putting their lives on the line every day.
Sleep Rover has partnered with Good Bread and YYC Food Trucks to go to local hospitals and provide free soup, bread and coffee to the frontline workers.
I'm hoping that this Gofundme will provide our community a way to help support this initiative through donations to ensure we can pay for the wages and supplies, as many have asked me, how can we help?
The more we raise, the longer we can provide this service.
Details are still being worked out, but we're starting with Foothills Hospital first and hope to expand to other hospitals with their permission.
