Year 2: Help My Child and Family from Gaza Find Hope

Hello, my name is Sabreen Eid. I am a Palestinian from Gaza, doing everything I can to protect my child from illness and war and to ensure the safety of my family.

My family consists of:

Ahmed (my husband), 36 years old

Walid (my child), 2 years old

We are now entering another year of hardship, and life is becoming more difficult by the day. The ongoing conflict has forced us to move repeatedly in search of safety, but danger follows us every time. There is no truly safe place anymore.

Walid suffers from a severely weakened immune system, which has caused him serious health problems, including staphylococcal infections, severe oral infections, high fever, and rashes due to bacterial infections. There are no medicines or treatments readily available, and even if they exist, their prices are far beyond what I can afford. The cost of medicine ranges between $20 and $30 per treatment, if available.

Food and basic necessities have also become unaffordable. A kilo of flour can reach $30, and essential items like canned goods and vegetables have become luxuries. For example, a kilo of tomatoes may cost $15 one day and $20 the next. Clean water is scarce and extremely expensive, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases.

My family is doing everything we can to survive, but the challenges are overwhelming. That is why I am asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference — helping us secure treatment for my child, food, and water, and possibly, in the future, to leave Gaza to find safety.
