More information about Alfond Youth Center: We serve residents of Maine with 34.6% of incomes below poverty level and 50% of public school students reporting food insecurity. Over 78% of our youth qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program and, as a result, attend our programs at no cost. We feed our youth a nutritious meal every day and a healthy lifestyle that will last a lifetime at the rate of 200 youth daily, 50,000 meals and snacks annually and 125 Weekend Meal Backpacks that supplement meals for over 380 family members in our community.
Last year we crushed our goal of $5000 by raising over $11000 so we're upping the challenge to $7500 hoping we'll exceed last years total. Please help us with this most worthy cause.
