Yvonne needs your Help, support, and prayers.

Hi friends and family! It's Yvonne. I decided to start a go fund me, in an effort to help with my families needs, medical bills, bare necessities, and food while I recover from an emergency foot surgery. I have been off work for 6 weeks and sadly, will need 4-6 more weeks to heal. As you may all know, I'm a pretty healthy and hard working person. You also know that my passion for being a hairdresser means so much to me. So, it was a shock when I woke up one morning and couldn't bare weight on my right foot. With a throbbing pins and needles feeling running through my foot and leg, I knew something was not right. I checked myself into the ER and within 24 hours I was admitted and my body began a journey of fighting off a bacteria infection. After 48 hours my body's white blood cells had triple and the infection began to spread up my leg to my inner thigh. It was a race between doctors and the right antibiotics, to get the infection under control. After 2 weeks in the hospital, my white blood cells came down, but had plateau. At this point the hospital doctors had brought in an Orthopedic surgeon, which he was God sent. He requested another MRI and let me know to be prepared for surgery. This Doctor had me in the OR less than 12 hours after the MRI and "power washed" the infected abscess out of my foot. After surgery, my infectious control Dr, informed me that I would need to be on IV antibiotics until December.

Not knowing how this was all going to play out nor preparing for having to be off work for 3 months. I'm turning to you and asking for any support to help me and my family.

For those of you who know me, you can imagine how challenging this has been mentally and physically. I am staying positive but some days are harder than others.
