Our Story – Help Us Protect Ombak Warung

What began as Made’s Warung, created by my Bapak Made, is today known as Ombak Warung. For the past 48 years, this humble place has made it possible to feed and support our family.

Back then, Bingin was a hidden surf spot, visited only by a few adventurous surfers and backpackers. Generations of our family have served simple home-cooked meals to locals, surfers, and travelers from around the world.

Many of those who stayed with my parents now return with their own children. This place holds deep meaning and memories — not just for us, but for so many who have passed through.

But today, the government has demolished our life’s work with 3 weeks notice.

From 1st notice to Demolition, 3 week's. We have lost everything. Over 40 employees without work no government welfare.

My mother started working at 18 years old and she still worked there doing the offerings at 73 years of age. Everyday for the past 55 years she has walked up and down those stairs and now the Government is kicking her out.

We ask you to stand with the Bingin locals in this fight — to protect our community, our livelihood, and the history we’ve built with our own hands.
