He touched the hearts of a lot of people and he will continue to live on in our memories.

You were one of a kind and just to precious for this world.

We miss you so much our beautiful baby boy I promise we will make you proud everyday

Everyone meet our baby boy Jensen Arlo

Finding out at 16 weeks pregnant we were having a baby boy was a dream come true! The little boy we always dreamed to have along side our two girls,

During the 20 week scan we were hit with the devastating news that our baby boy has a very rare complex heart condition called left atrial isomerism which is basically a 2 left sided heart. which will require numerous procedures to try and make his heart function the best they can, our world came crumbing down and it broke our hearts.

We were also told with his condition there would be multi staged open heart surgery's.

Kawasaki procedure
Biventricular procedure
Fontan procedure

To make this more difficult we were also told that with this condition there was a chance he could have other health condition but would not know untill he was born and later down the line.

We knew we had to give our little man a chance, giving up wasn't an option! So we decided to carry on with the pregnancy.

After our little miracle was born he was taken to intensive care in Stoke for 11 days and then he was transferred to Birmingham cardiology ward for 4 weeks. Our little man will need heart surgery before he turns 2.

During his stay they picked up that Jensen had prolonged jaundice, he had numerous tests and then he was transferred to the liver ward in Birmingham children's hospital.

After 6 long weeks spent in hospital we were sent home and then to keep having Jensen regularly monitored at BCH.

After spending half of his little short life in hospital
On the 8th October our baby boy was then readmitted onto the liver ward as his jaundice had gotten a lot worse.

After monitoring Jensen we were dropped with the bombshell that he would need have an operation and was put on the emergency list. on the 11th October. The only way to diagnose what doctors suspected was to go in and find out. After 5 & a half long hours in theatre Jensen had his operation and was confirmed he has billary atresa and we won't know straight away if this temporary procedure was successful. Wether it is or not Jensen will at some point go through a liver transplant.

We have been told that jensens anatomy is so complex and rare, Birmingham say his conditions are unusual. Jensen faces an uncertain future and will needs a life time of treatment and surgeries.

We have no end of faith our little man is going fight his way through all of us with his mummy, daddy and 2 sisters by his side all the way.

We are from Stoke-on-Trent and have to travel regularly to and from Birmingham children's hospital this is taking financial toll on us. We are also having to live down there to be with Jensen. Monday to Friday we drive to and from stoke to take our girls to school so they can have some kind of normality and don't miss out on there education. It's exhausting and expensive but also important for them. We are still feeling the effects financially from last time he was here back in August.

It's been a whirlwind of a journey,

Jensen has just turned 12 weeks old and has already been through so much! but we are determined to stay strong and help our little man fight his way through this

No donation is to little, we would be ever so grateful if you could share for us.

All donations will help us financially now and for his upcoming procedures down Birmingham and lengthy stays.

Any left over donations will be donated towards BCH & British Heart foundation.

Thank you for taking the time to read our little boys story
