Our family home of 22 years in Altadena has burned down and my family, Troy, Tammy, & Tory Laster have literally lost EVERYTHING other than the clothes on their backs. After mandatory evacuation, there was little time to retrieve items, leaving behind all valuables and sentimental items (some of which cannot be replaced). This wasn’t just a house; it was HOME, full of love. My stepdad Troy Laster has spent a lot of time & money remodeling our home to make it comfortable for the many guests & family we would welcome into our home.

This home is very special to us. My mom Tammy really nurtured the home, took pride in making sure the house was festive EVERY holiday (especially Christmas) as well as providing that warm HOME feeling for whomever walked through the door. From the many birthday parties, BBQ’s, graduation parties, family dinners, and holidays, a lot of happy and joyous memories were made here. Not to mention, so many accomplishments, plaques, medals, diplomas, degrees & certificates we lived to achieve are gone now as well.
