As the holiday season approaches, we remember that though we are all in this pandemic together, our Yu Ming families are not equally resourced to brace the storm. While some are able to work from home while sheltering in place and/or have reserves to use as life jackets, others have either been working as essential workers with not enough pay or have become unemployed. These families are relying on floats that are barely sustaining them, if they have any at all.

What has always brought our community together is our collective energy, our compassion, and our confidence in a better future together. Because we are always strong and more resilient together, Yu Ming’s Family Support Organization (FSO) is launching a Pandemic Mutual Aid Campaign through GoFundMe. Our Yu Ming parent and Family Liaison, Yu-Shuan Tarango-Sho, has been supporting under-resourced families and conducting needs assessments and will be distributing the funds accordingly. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by December 31. Please consider contributing as you can. Nothing is too little.
