I met Tim a few weeks ago, a homeless man who lives right next to me. I asked him his story, and he told me about how he owned his own business that was doing well until 2019 when COVID hit and it went under. Ever since that point, he’s been homeless, trying to get back on his feet. He told me how he’s constantly trying to find a place to work, but it's very difficult without having anywhere to stay. He’s tried and had gotten into multiple shelters, but it’s never consistent since he’s only allowed to stay there for a short, limited amount of time. He told me that he’s been homeless for so long that suicide seems like the only way out, and that many of his friends chose that route, but the only thing keeping him going is knowing he has to provide for his family. I want to raise as much money as possible for him to help him get a steady place to stay, to help him get back on his feet, and hopefully find somewhere he can work. Any donation helps.
