Hi, my name is Ruby. I am trying to raise money to help support my family and spread awareness due to my stepfather Vicente being detained by ICE. I have had the privilege of knowing him for 13 years now, over a decade of him providing for me and my family. I have lived with him almost my whole life and know well enough what a great dad he is. Although he is not my biological father, I see in my heart that he is.

My dad is such a tremendous part of my whole family's lives. He came into it not only doing good but impacting it for the better. I would not have the life I do or be the person I am without him. I will forever consider him my father because of the impact he’s made in my life. He not only supported me to become a better person and for me to have a better life, but he also did the same with my 3 siblings, 2 of whom are also not his biological kids. This truly shows what an amazing person he is to provide for all of us with love and care despite our flaws, like a true father would.

Being raised by such amazing and hardworking parents takes so much strength, and I wouldn’t be the hardworking, generous, and humble person I am today without both of them. Anything helps. God bless
