We’re Wil Rees and Brooke Webb, and on the night of Saturday 9 May 2026, we will be walking up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) through the night and into Sunday morning in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Gwilym Ioan Rees-Webb.
Gwilym tragically died aged just 11 days old on Christmas Eve 2025. We love and miss him every single day, and while we continue to fight for answers and work to prevent this from happening to other babies and families, we want to honour Gwilym’s life in a way that makes a difference. Alongside his Aunty Tori and Uncle Donte, we are taking on this challenge to remember Gwilym and raise money for two incredible charities, 2wish and Sands, who have supported us over the past few months, and continue to support us moving forward.
No family should ever have to experience this kind of loss, and while the wait for answers to understand why Gwilym died is unbearable, charities like 2wish and Sands provide vital support to families through their grief, standing alongside parents in their darkest moments and helping them navigate life after loss, while also working to improve care for babies and mothers to prevent other families from going through the same heartbreak.
By taking on this night walk up Yr Wyddfa, we hope to honour Gwilym’s memory in a meaningful way while helping ensure other families receive the support we have received during the hardest and most painful times of their lives.
All money raised will be split equally between the two charities. You can find out more about these two important charities here: 2wish Cymru & Sands
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to us. Every contribution will help support families facing the most difficult moments imaginable and ensure these charities can continue their vital work.
Thank you for helping us remember Gwilym and keep his memory alive.
Diolch yn fawr,
Brooke & Wil
