❤️ Urgent Help Needed: Relocating to Be Close to a Loved One

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. Our family is going through one of the hardest seasons of our lives, and we need to relocate immediately due to my beloved mother-in-law, Sharon Ford, taking a turn for the worse.

Sharon has recently been admitted to Connecticut Hospice in Branford, where she’s receiving acute care until it’s time for her to transition into full hospice care. Her faith, grace, and courage through all of this have been nothing short of incredible. She continues to remind us, “I’m a fighter and doing my best to not let this get me down — taking one day at a time.”

We want nothing more than to be near her — to comfort her, support her, and make sure she knows she’s surrounded by love.

Why We Need to Move

Because of Sharon’s condition, we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to move closer to family for support. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to continue paying rent where we are in Naugatuck, CT, while also trying to start over in Virginia.

Time is running short, and the stress of trying to figure everything out while worrying about Sharon’s health has been overwhelming. This sudden change has placed an enormous financial strain on us. While we’re managing our daily expenses, the immediate relocation costs are beyond our means.

Our Goal: $6,000

This funding will directly cover the most urgent moving expenses, including:

Truck Rental & Fuel: Transporting our essential belongings from Connecticut to Virginia

Security Deposit & First Month’s Rent: Securing a small, affordable apartment near family

Temporary Storage: Holding our belongings until we find long-term housing

️ Temporary Housing: Short hotel stays if we can’t find a place right away

⛽ Emergency Travel: Fuel, tolls, and other travel expenses for the urgent drive south
