Hi,

Lucy Boyd, Faryl Connelly and Keira Wallace are walking 11 miles (Kirkintilloch to Glasgow via west end) on Sunday the 26th of October, to raise money towards Emma Cameron foundation as a part of YPI. which is a programe which helps pupils across Scotland to raise money for selected charity of their choice. We chose Emma Cameron as it is related to some of our team and also wanted to help other kids suffering with cancer, We are aiming to gain the £3000 grant by winning YPI but on top of that we are choosing to try raise up to £500 on top of that if we gain the grant. by doing this walk, bake sale and a raffle in and out of our school hours. The funds in the charity will be used to help children with cancer to have a better and more social life outside of treatment such as education like tutors to help as they could be in hospital for treatment missing out education, shopping vouchers for children who cannot access phones to contact friends to be more social with friends while in hostipal and catering for illness treatments for the children.
