Your Village, Your Community - Clonlara Development Association needs your support.

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, many thanks for your community volunteer efforts over the past year. We have made a lot of progress in improving Clonlara's physical appearance. Without our volunteers and generosity of our community, this would not be possible.

Here are some of our achievements over the past year:

• Village Appearance Tidy Up - Teefy's House
• Errina Canal Walkway - Completely Transformed
• Footbridge Clean Up on the Clonlara Side
• Regular Litter Pick Ups across all townlands
• Christmas Lights in the village
• Receiving Irish Registered Charity Status (Registered Charity Number (RCN): 20205903)
• Set Up Community Text Alert Service

The past 18 months and COVID have not made it possible for us to launch a fundraiser for our planned community projects. Based on your feedback and community survey results, we have next planned the following>

• New Clonlara Townland Map at the cross on the Killaloe road. Adjacent to "The Meadow of the Mare" sign. This map will feature all our local heritage sites, community amenities such as the school, churches and GAA pitches etc.
• New Clonlara Map to replace the existing map in the centre of the village
• Village appearance enhancement e.g. purchase of plants, shrubbery, flowers, stones and possibly a bench. This investment will be required for our entry to the Irish Tidy Towns competition.
• To purchase timber for the Errina Bridge Walkway - Brexit has pushed the cost of timber up :(

We have been successful in acquiring a small number of grants from Clare County Council and other organisations to carry out some of our projects. However, in order to be able to draw down on these grants, we first need to purchase and claim back via receipt or invoice. This is where your support is required.

Please support your community development association by donating any amount securely via this platform. Every € helps for us to make Clonlara a better place for us to live. All funds raised will be transferred to the Clonlara Development Association account and used for our projects going forward.
