Your Story Matters- Support Suicide Awareness
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Matthew Reign.
I am the founder of The Art of Reign Productions, and my mission in raising these funds is to bring real, tangible hope during Suicide Awareness Month this September.
I’m aiming to raise $5,500 to produce and give away 600 free T-shirts to students at my local middle school in the city where I was born, raised, and now work. I don’t want to just donate money to a charity — I want to take real action. I want every student who receives a shirt to know they matter, that their story isn’t over, and that our community cares about their mental health.
The need is real:
• Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10–24 in the United States.
• Nearly 1 in 5 high school students report serious thoughts of suicide each year.
In the photos above, you’ll see the shirt design: “Your story isn’t over,” with an open book and a heart folded into its pages. This symbolizes that, no matter how dark a chapter may feel, the next page is always unwritten — and worth turning.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
At 16 years old, I attempted to take my own life. By the grace of God, I’m still here — I survived. I got to keep writing my story: I became a husband, a father, and I’ve been able to chase my dreams and help others. Now I want to inspire the next generation, especially the kids who might feel alone like I once did.
If you feel it in your heart to give, know that you’re not just donating — you’re reminding a young person that their story matters.
Thank you. You matter. And so do they.
