Hi my name is Gary and I am raising funds for our local hospices, Rotherham and Barnsley.

I have climbed the mountain at Machu Pichu (see photographs) to raise those funds. Please donate now as I wlll be closing the funding page soon.

Recently my lifelong friend was admitted to the local Hospice (Rotherham), and although this was a very emotional time it was very uplifting to see the care and love the hospice afforded my friend Alan.

No doubt we will all at sometime in our life come into contact with a local hospice and it is with this in mind I am asking for donations.

As a charity they rely on donations to keep these wonderful services going and that is why I am trying to raise funds for such a worthy cause.

Any money raised through your donations will be split between Rotherham and Barnsley hospice as I know contributions will be given by people of both communitues, so its only fair we help both.

I want to raise money for these worthy causes and so my quest is to climb the stairs of death at Macchu Pichu in Peru (see cover photo) .

This will not be easy for me as I suffer from vertigo and I have COPD so its a very daunting challenge but I want to do this for my freind and for all the people who may ever have need to use the hospice. Please donate, no matter how little the amount it will be gratefully recieved and passed on to those worthy causes.

I climbed the stairs on the 22nd of September and you may want to donate before or after I complete the task, so dont worry if this comes to your attention after that date.
