Hello, my name is Tom Cihlar and I'm a board member of the Medina Pickleball Association. The MPA is a 501(3)c organization dedicated to advancing the opportunity for pickleball play in Medina County. We have been instrumental in getting new courts built in Montville Township and at AI Root Middle School, as well as having more courts added at the Medina Rec Center. With pickleball being the fastest-growing sport in America, we are going to need more places to play in our community. Our new project is to raise the funds to have 6 more courts painted on currently non-usable, unfinished tennis courts located next to the current 6 courts at the AI Root facility. We plan on getting this project done by mid-summer, provided we can raise the necessary funds.

By raising $30,000, we can do surface preparation, surface sealing, and painting for 6 additional courts. By raising this amount, we will also be able to supply the portable nets and divider nets.

These new courts will be open for use by a multitude of people ranging from local students during and after school, to families, to pickleball players who play competitively or socially. The current courts are highly used, with players waiting on courts most evenings during the playing season.
