After a wonderful whirlwind of a dating, we were married in July 2012. Shortly after we settled into our careers and home in Bellingham and were excited to start creating a family. We both love children and could not wait to become parents. So far the journey has been long with many surprises.
Together we have experienced the battles of living with the ups and downs of health concerns and the unknowing expectations of not being able to conceive a child. In 2016, we excitedly began a foster care process. We were blessed with many beautiful little ones, who we loved dearly. Unfortunately, the green light never came, and at some point we had to part.
Although this was devastating on so many levels, we just weren't able to give up on our dream to become parents and welcome a child into our home! While we are still choosing to do foster care, we have decided to pursue adoption, this time domestically, through the help of a social worker. We have completed all of the paperwork, home study, and are now anxiously awaiting to be matched with a child!
Our Expenses:
Domestic adoption, like international adoption, is overwhelmingly expensive. Our total cost, including the home study, agency fees, legal fees, and living and medical expenses for the birthmother is roughly $20,000.

We need your love, connections, and outreach. As timeworn as this sounds, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This journey has been long, sorrowful and tiresome. Without the support and love of our family and friends, this road would have been much harder.
