Young Williams Animal Center

Young Williams is the official animal shelter for Knox County and the City of Knoxville. They take in roughly 11,000 homeless pets every year and provide food, medical care, and adoption placement. Since the beginning of their Spay/Neuter Solutions program in 2007, they have performed over 63,000 public spay/neuter surgeries, which is reflected in the decreasing intake numbers year after year. In 2018, Young-Williams achieved no-kill status for the first time in its history. The definition of no-kill means saving all medically and behaviorally treatable animals and maintaining a save rate of 90% or more. Their vision is A Home for Every Pet, and they are getting closer to that every day!
