For the past decade, Candace has been more than my best friend—she’s been my sister. We’ve shared everything—laughter, tears, milestones, memories—but nothing could have prepared us for the battle she’s faced this past year. My name is Sarah and I want to help in anyway possible.

In 2024, Candace was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The prognosis was grim: 7 months to 2 years. Surgery was off the table. But if you know Candace, you know she doesn’t go down without a fight. After 12 grueling rounds of chemo, the impossible became possible—surgery *was* an option. In March 2025, just weeks after suddenly losing her mother in February, she bravely underwent the Whipple procedure.

In early June, we finally breathed a sigh of relief. Her scan looked good. The cancer seemed gone. There was light again.

But on June 21st, during what was supposed to be a routine meeting with her surgeon to plan her return to work, we were hit with devastating news: the cancer is back. Aggressive. It’s now growing on her liver and crushing a vital vein in her abdomen.

Candace is now waiting to hear if she qualifies for a clinical trial at Princess Margaret—her only current hope. Radiation has been paused so it doesn’t disqualify her from the study. Meanwhile, her pain is being managed closely as she continues to fight every single day.

Through all of this, Candace has shown unimaginable courage, strength, and grace. She is still smiling. Still cracking jokes. Still showing up for the people she loves.

We’re raising funds to help ease some of the financial burden—medical costs, medication, rent, bills, and most importantly, to help Candace create special memories with her children during this uncertain time. If you're able to donate or share, please do. Every bit of support matters and means the world.

Candace is a warrior. This journey isn’t over, and she needs all of us beside her.

Please keep Candace in your thoughts and prayers. Share her story. Celebrate her spirit. She is a warrior, and this is far from over.
