Young Men of Distinction

My name is Jacoby Waters; I am the founder of Young Men of Distinction (YMOD). We are a new nonprofit organization focused on the betterment and development of young men of color. Our organization was established to empower and activate young men from 2nd grade through grade 12th. These are critical years in which young men develop their value system and develop their character's foundations. YMOD mentors these future kings, showing them the importance of school and community investment. We hold workshops covering many important subjects in today's society, (ex. financing and the importance of credit scores), host college tours, and provide safe spaces for participants to share and learn with their peers and other positive male role models.

We need your help to raise money to incorporate the nonprofit organization and fund monthly events. Your support will also help us reduce the financial burden off parents so that each student will partake in our cultural enrichment activities. There is a desperate need for the services our organization provides in Palm Beach County. Young men in our community face a myriad of social and economic challenges. We have chosen to meet these challenges head-on.
