A couple of years ago, my sister started having health issues. Eventually, she woke up one morning and could not walk. She has seen many doctors, and there are still more questions than answers. About a month ago, she went into the hospital for another procedure. After she came out from under the anesthetic, she was allowed to go home and recover from there. Later that evening, after a storm rolled through, a very large tree fell on my sister’s and her family’s home. It knocked the house from the foundation. Luckily, no one was hurt as my sister had gone outside prior, and her husband was able to grab their daughter and run out. They were not allowed back in their home and were told that the house is unlivable.

It will be quite some time before they will be able to get back into a home. This family has not had it easy, and they still have a very long road ahead of them. While trying to navigate insurance and all of the difficulties that go with that, doctor’s appointments and bills, still trying to get answers, they also have a five-year-old daughter to care for.
