Everest trek for education

Donation protected
Hi, our names are Oscar and Digby Squirrell from Arthurs Creek. We  are 11 and 9 year old brothers and have set ourselves a challenge to walk to Everest Base Camp to help raise money for a remote Nepalese school that was affected by the Earthquakes in 2015.

In 2017 I, (Oscar) travelled to Nepal and couldn't believe the difference between my school and the schools in Nepal, and how they have no play equipment, dirt floors and hardly any books or even paper to write on. When the earthquake struck, it wiped out the community and left them with virtually nothing. The school has been reconstructed, but there is still a lot of help needed, such as classroom furniture, carpet, solar power, security fences and play equipment along with books, pens and paper.

Digby and I have committed to dig deep and walk to Base Camp to help those kids that have lost so much and struggle to get an education in such difficult conditions.

The school we have chosen is Shree Singha Devi Basic School, located in the Sukute Valley. We have been in contact with the Principal; Hari. We have arranged a visit in the first week of April to hand over all of the funds that we raise.

If you could help us raise some money that would be really helpful. We can't wait to visit the school and meet the kids and teachers.
