Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I come to you with urgency and humility to ask for help on behalf of a loved one who is currently incarcerated in a southern state. He is a young Black man living with a mental health diagnosis, navigating the difficult balance of treatment, judgment, and the realities of being misunderstood in today’s climate.

Recently, he went on a trip with friends and ended up in this situation after being placed in circumstances beyond his control. His associates left him to face the consequences alone, and now he is far from home and without the family support he needs in a facility where mental health is not a priority—something deeply concerning for his safety and well-being.

Because of his media presence and professional reputation, we are keeping his identity private—but it is important to know that he is a respected creative, fashion designer, and songwriter with a promising future. What he needs most right now is the chance to come home where he can be properly supported and assessed.

We are urgently raising funds to cover bail, a good lawyer, commissary, phone calls to stay connected, and most importantly, the mental health care he deserves once he returns home.
