Backpacks for the Homeless
Tax deductible
Did you know that there are over 55,000 unsheltered homeless individuals in Southern California? Did you know 1 in 4 children live in poverty and are at risk? My name is Nick Ortiz. I'm a Life Scout with Troop 639 in Foothill Ranch, CA working on my Eagle Project. The purpose of my project is to raise awareness about homelessness in our community, to raise donations and gather at least 250 backpacks filled with essential toiletries and warm blankets to be delivered to the homeless via the Illumination Foundation. The Illumination Foundation is the Eagle Project beneficiary who will use these backpacks to introduce homeless individuals to additional targeted resources providing longer lasting support that can turn a life around. Won't you please join me in helping those who need it most?
Any funds you provide be it large or small (every bit helps) will go toward the purchase of backpacks, toiletries and blankets to share with our homeless community. BTW, this project is dedicated to all who value Kindness.
We need to raise at least $10,000 by the end of May 2017 in order to purchase these items. The Illumination Foundation, and most importantly, the many homeless families in our communities will be truly grateful for your generosity. You can know that your donation has helped to change a life!
Thanks so much.
