On June 23rd i'm taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge with colleagues at HMP Hindley, each choosing a charity. 24 miles, 3 peaks, 5200ft of climb, 3 mountains in 12 hours!

I'm raising money for Raising readers, a give a book project that runs in UK prisons. They help parents in prison learn to read with their kids back at home.

For example, a dad reads to his child on a family visit or over the phone at bedtime, the books and support make that happen.

It matters because kids with a parent in prison are 3x more likely to end up there themselves. Reading together cuts that risk and keeps families connected.
