Dear parents, family, and West Marin community,

 

My name is Maile and I am fundraising to support yoga with Katie Jay for West Marin public elementary school children.

 

Inverness School TK, kindergarten and first grade children have been fortunate to have yoga classes in school with Katie Jay for the last seven years. This is a special opportunity that not all public schools can offer.

 

Yoga has the benefits of:

Self-confidence & self-awareness boosting

Nervous system/self-regulation tools

Focusing skills

Reducing anxiety and stress

Community building

Physical fitness

How great to learn these skills when we're young! 

I am reaching out to you as a parent of a kindergartener, a yoga teacher, and a friend and colleague of Katie Jay, the yoga teacher at Inverness school. Katie receives a modest stipend for offering these classes. Her annual rate is $2380 for teaching weekly. The school can pay $600 of this amount, so I am reaching out to fundraise the remaining $1780.

 

Any amount you can offer is greatly appreciated. What we receive over $1780, we will use for future years of yoga in the school. Let's create an ongoing legacy program!
