Yocom Park Memorial Fund

Yocom Park in Chariton, IA is in the early stages of design and engineering for a full park master plan and re-construction. In the heart of Chariton, this park has been a monumental area of the community. With the new master plan, the vision is for the park to be an attraction and community amenity for citizens of all ages and to attract visitors to the community as well.

We are grateful for the family of Brandt Yocom to memorialize his community impact by supporting the early stages of this project. While the official fundraising for the construction of the final plan had yet to begin, we are couldn't have planned a more fitting way to honor the Yocom family than to kick-off the fundraising. The partners for this project will be the City of Chariton and the Lucas County Economic Development, which falls underneath the Chariton Chamber and Development Charitable Foundation.
