Grind for a wish
Donation protected
This weekend is the SPFK tournament, one of the best weekends of the year. Last year I participated in the Grouse Grind Challenge and raised $5400 for the Make a Wish Foundation. This year I didn’t participate. I was dealing with a knee injury, and honestly I didn’t want to endure it again. It was so tough. Now I’m left with a guilty feeling from my decision. The kids endure so much more, and they don’t have a choice, and I’m lucky enough that I do. So I’ve changed my decision! Although very undertrained, I’m going to put myself in an uncomfortable situation to help make a deserving child's wish come true. It’s not the official challenge, but it’s still for the same cause. Justin Black and the Whistler Brewers have challenged me to do 10 grinds for $1000. I haven’t set the exact date yet but it will be before the August long weekend. If anyone would else would like to pledge, or contribute any donation big or small, I would really appreciate it. And remember, it’s for the kids!!!
