Support for the Harris Family – Rebuilding After Devastating Fire
This past weekend, the Harris Family experienced a devastating accident when an explosion occurred in their outdoor storage container, sparking a fire that quickly spread to their home. The flames caused significant fire and smoke damage to their house and one of their vehicles. While the damage to their property is extensive, we are incredibly grateful that the entire family—along with their beloved dog and cat—are safe.
Due to the severity of the damage, the Harris Family will be displaced from their home for up to six months as they work through the challenges of insurance, temporary housing, and rebuilding.
Jessica Harris is one of the most dedicated, compassionate, and selfless educators we have at Summit School. She teaches science with passion, purpose, and creativity, always going above and beyond to inspire and care for her students. She also serves as the chair of our Summit Sunshine Committee—someone who consistently shows up to celebrate others’ milestones and offer comfort during times of sorrow.
Now it’s our turn to support her.
We are asking our Summit School community and extended network to rally around the Harris Family during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation—big or small—will go directly toward helping them manage temporary housing, essential needs, and the long road to recovery.
Let’s show Jessica and her family the same kindness and care that she has so generously given to others.
