Scout Wave 2.0

The Scout Wave is the 4th (further downstream) feature in the Salida Whitewater Park. Originally built in 2010 it was one of the first river features designed specifically for river surfing. While it has been a fantastic feature it needs an update. The technology has improved and the Scout Wave is due for a re-work. In 2019 we did a similar project at the Office Wave and the results have been very well received. River surfing has exploded in Salida, local kids love it and people travel from all over the Country to surf in downtown Salida. We need another feature for river surfing to spread out the crowds and provide a different experience for surfers and paddlers. The City of Salida has budgeted money for the project, we have received an Army Corps of Engineers permit and the work is planned for early 2022, but we need your help. We need to raise some money to support the project. All donations will run through the Arkansas River Trust a local non profit that has supported every phase of the whitewater park since 1999.
