In Loving Memory of Ivan Booth – Supporting The Christie Foundation

September 6th–7th, cousins William Booth, Daniel Booth, and Mackenzie Booth-Bowler, aka The Ivancibles, will be taking on the Bullock Smithy Challenge – a gruelling 56-mile (90 km) overnight hike/run across the Peak District, completed in under 24 hours (Under 16 hours for personal reasons). Known for its relentless climbs, tough terrain, and lack of sleep, it’s a true test of endurance.

We are doing this in memory of our beloved Grandad, Ivan Booth, who still holds the record in our family and will inevitably still hold this record for completing it in 13 hours!!!

A few years ago, he sadly passed away after his battle with cancer. Throughout his journey, The Christie Foundation provided incredible care, compassion, and support – not only to Grandad but also to our family. We want to give something back to the organisation that helped us so much during such a difficult time.

Taking on the Bullock Smithy isn’t just about testing ourselves physically and mentally – it’s about raising money that will directly support cancer patients and their families. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference in helping The Christie continue its vital work.
