Staff (and family and friends and many pets) at YHEC are singing the 12 Days of Christmas to raise support as part of our first fundraiser for Move the Masses.
Yes, it should be from Christmas Day till 12th Night but we want to get in the festive spirit!
Please show your support for those who have put themselves out there singing, dancing and attempting to sing! Not many did it willingly - please show your appreciation.
Staff at YHEC will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities throughout 2026 and also raising awareness for Move the Masses.
This will including activities like quizzes, competitions, sweepstakes, fitness challenges and more. Furthermore, as a company, YHEC will match-fund up to £5,000 fundraised throughout 2026 - so for every £1 raised by YHEC staff, the company will give a further £1! Please support this cause by making a donation today.
Move the Masses (link here: Move the Massess website) is a local charity offering an invaluable service in York, Leeds, Selby, Durham and Pocklington. It was established in 2018 to make walking a reality for the vulnerable in local communities. The charity supports over 300 people to enjoy a walk through a valuable community of over 200 Volunteer Move Mates; volunteers who were royally recognised in last year’s King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Move Mates is a walking buddy project through Move the Masses which makes getting out for a walk a reality for people who would otherwise find it difficult to leave their homes. The volunteers give people the confidence and moral support to leave their homes and go for a walk, improving their physical and mental health outcomes, reducing isolation and ultimately making people feel happier.
