Hello, my name is Chris Lam and I'm honored to help kick off our 3rd annual Allen Bock Memorial High School Baseball Drive. The fundraiser will end on December 6, 2023. The baseball drive was started to honor Allen's passion for helping kids and high school baseball programs in our area. As many of you know, Allen helped bring Stars Baseball to the Fredericksburg area. As his oldest players were entering high school, Allen would take baseballs to the local schools to help those programs out. Allen viewed this as a way to continue to help grow the game of baseball in our area. As I mourned his passing, I wanted to honor him and continue his legacy and charity work in our area. I thought what better way then to call on his family, friends, and our fantastic baseball community to help raise money for brand new baseballs for our local high schools.

The first year we rasied about 6k and bought baseballs for ten local high schools. In the second year we doubled our donations to 12k and gave to 16 local high schools. Last year we were able to give each high school 10 dozen baseballs, 2 ball buckets, 1 batting tee, and a custom AB22 Marucci fungo in the schools colors. Potomac High Baseball where Allen played his high school ball is also a recipient of equipment each year. Every coach and program were beyond appreciative of the donations to their programs. Coach Dan (Allens father in law) and I also try and share a positive message and tell them about Allen as we meet with the teams.

This year we hope to add a couple more schools to our list. All five Spotsylvania and all five Stafford high schools were donated to. We were also able to donate to James Monroe, Potomac, FCS, King George, Colonial Beach, and Caroline High.

This fundraiser has been a success because of all of you! Your donations and charity go to a great cause which I know Allen is loving and smiling down upon all of us.
