Support a Father's Fight for Custody

I've had my son since a minute after he was born. I've poured my love, patience, and guidance into this boy all his life. Recently, the other side of his family has decided to move to GA without asking me or getting my blessing. Since it's always been cordial for the most part, we didn't have a legal plan in place. In hindsight, this was a mistake, but I didn't want to make my son watch us fight a war over him.

My father wasn't around much after I was 10, and I promised my son the day he was born, he would never be without me, and I'm doing my best to keep that promise.

If you know me, I never ask for help, even to my self-detriment at times. I'm learning to swallow my pride and ask for help when I'm in need.

This money isn't for me; it's going straight to the lawyers. I've been having some troubles finding consistent, reliable work to continue paying them recently, and my mother is retired and on a fixed income. I've got a couple of final interviews coming up, but I won't get paid for quite a while, and we're both tapped out from the first payment to the lawyers.
