Dare To Care International (D2C), a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting and uplifting underserved communities and youth around the globe. Our mission is to provide Educational, Recreational, and Medication resources to underrepresented communities. We are pleased to announce our 1st Annual Fundraiser to support our efforts to feed families and support youth recreation in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Our goal: Raise $50,000

Your contributions will help our team provide critical support in South African communities. D2C, in partnership with the Johannesburg Department of Sport & Recreation & Shop - Rite grocery chain, has committed to feeding 1000 families and providing much-needed sport/recreation equipment and games to underserved communities in Johannesburg, South Africa. Your contributions will help us create lifelong memories and positive activities for these underserved communities. With our recreational and other essential activities, participants of the program can focus on positive experiences and create lifelong bonds with our local supporters.

Summary

Through community engagement, dare To Care International was founded in 2008 to improve and provide educational, recreational, and medication resources for under-served children and young people in South Africa. Our beneficiaries are high school learners and youth living in Johannesburg, South Africa and globally.

Challenge

Current figures reveal that 31% of South African youth are not in employment, education or training. South Africa is one of the most unequal societies in the world, and this inequality is due not just to wealth but to the differences in the networks of introduction available to different sections of South African society.

Solution

Dare to Care International is focused on providing a positive experience and essential resources to youth in South Africa. At Dare to Care International, we provide recreational resources, events, educational resources, community outreach, and medical resources. Our current goals are to build local partnerships and provide community engagement activities focused on supporting underserved youth.

Long-Term Impact

Our primary objective is to improve the availability of recreational, educational and medical resources to underserved youth through community outreach and local partnerships.
