I am Palestinian American who looking for help with a full of hope with great urgency and desperation

after trying to survive and hopes that war ends soon, my family are suffering and asking for help after all of them lost everything

they had and now they just have HOPE!

I am posting this today hoping that i can let some of my family out of Gaza

Arwa Shaheen, a mother of four children. We lived in Gaza and the situation was stable until the events of October 7. We were displaced from our home On the 20th of October ,and we went towards the south after our area was exposed to a violent belt of fire, which led to the entry of shrapnel. As a result of the belt of fire, my husband was exposed to a hearing problem . And they began to shot Shells, phosphorus, and gas bombs. We were displaced from one place to another in search of safety. But there is no safety in Gaza .

Before the war, my husband and I had a job and our situation was stable. I used to work in the Palestinian telecommunications group Paltel Mobile, and my husband used to work a day job with a daily salary, but after the war I lost my job and the company was destroyed and I did not receive a salary for seven months and my husband lost his job.

Our house that we left was damaged and needs to be restoration again.

Mira, my little girl, was infected with infantile bronchitis before the war. She used to go to the doctor every week for an examination, as she was unable to walk, swollen feet, shortness of breath, and fever. She was presented to doctors in Gaza and they decided to refer her abroad before the war. Now the war is entering its seventh month, and there are no hospitals or clinics. She is suffering from illness day after day, and there is a shortage of medicines and the inability to obtain them.

The costs breakdown are as follows:

Evacuation from Gaza through Rafah border crossing: $5000 x 6 people =$31,000

Passport and fees=$150x6 people = $1000

2 months of temporary living expenses in Egypt, including food, shelter, and transportation: $5500

Currently living in a tent in Rafah, the tent is an unsafe place not protected from shrapnel or bullets, the atmosphere is unhealthy and the sewers are everywhere. Our food isn’t unhealthy, it's all canned, there's no healthy food, there's high prices, there's no salary to make a living.

Evacuating me and my children is the priority. I fear for my family and I desperately need every single one of them to survive. I hope this fundraiser will enable us to safely evacuate to Egypt, recover from the trauma, and find hope in a new life. I am very grateful to all the people who is reading this and supporting our efforts to bring us to safety. I look forward to one day being able to pay this kindness forward.

It has been nearly five months since the war in Gaza began, and its devastating impact has been profound. The war displaced 1.5 million people, claimed the lives of more than 30,000 people, and left more than 70,000 civilians injured. We are one of the lucky families to have survived so far.

On the 20th of October, we were forced to evacuate our home in Gaza City due to the brutal war to seek "safe" shelter in Rafah. We just got away with the clothes we were wearing.

There is no way to express how sad we are to lose all our memories, to realize that all our memories, our family images, our possessions, and the neighborhood we lived in together are gone forever. People also expect a ground invasion of Rafah by Israeli forces at any moment. The decision to leave Gaza is not an easy one. We fear for our lives. We have reached the point at which hope for a decent life in Gaza has come to an end.
