Replacement Yeti for Matt’s boat
Donation protected
Please if you know Matt, do not mention this to him as I’d love for it to be a surprise and he would hate that I’m asking for help! As much as it’s made me feel uncomfortable to, I would love to be able to do this for him.
For anyone who knows us, we rarely ask for help and quite often are the ones offering to help others, especially my beautiful husband, Matt. Since the floods he has been out helping the community clearing roads, collecting curb side rubbish from people’s homes and has barely had a chance to work on our own home. Today whilst cleaning up and going through things he noticed that the esky he had in his boat was gone. He’d removed it so that we were able to assist neighbours and be able to get a generator to keep us going for 6 days. We assume that where it was placed it has washed away with several other items.
Matt was very keen for Barra season to open on the 1st which is unfortunately when the flood hit us. He has lost so much including his car; as he was prioritising the safety and wellbeing of myself and saving things he was able to. The financial assistance we have been fortunate enough to receive has gone toward replacing essential household items that were lost such as our washing machine, fridge and towels etc.
I’d love to be able to get him a new Yeti esky for his boat for when he is able to have a well deserved break when this is all over and be able to finally go and enjoy his Barra fishing. We’ve already had to replace the fuel tank in it from the flood water and his selflessness will see everything else taken care of before something for himself.
It has taken a lot for me to decide to ask for any small donation you are able to spare, and it would be greatly appreciated
