Next Step Rwanda provides professional development opportunities to Rwandans who were youth & children during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. Today, they are often unemployed or under-employed; but with a strong desire to work in their chosen career fields. As they were growing up, Rwanda was a country in transition as it healed from the devastating violence that changed their young lives.
Rwanda is located in East Africa & surrounded by conflict countries, but it is a pearl - isaro - where government leaders and foreign investors promote unified growth at all levels. 15 million people live in Rwanda, a country the size of Maryland, with a youthful population. The strategies and development have led to a higher quality of living with policies that encourage gender equity & the promotion of entrepreneurship. www.nextsteprw.org
