**A year ago, we restored a temple.
Now, we want to care for the man who never left it.**
Last year, something beautiful happened.
A small, forgotten temple in Rishikesh, the Dhruv Narayan Mandir, was brought back to life.
With your support, we restored its walls, its light, its energy…
and more importantly, we helped revive a space of peace, music, prayer, and community.
What was once an abandoned space gathering dust,
is now a space where dozens gather daily,
to meditate, sing, paint, connect, and simply be.
We’ve hosted kirtans, pujas, community meals…
fed hundreds people…
and watched strangers become family inside those walls.
But behind all of this…
there is one person who has quietly held it all together.
Meet Kuldeep, the guardian & priest of the temple
Kuldeep is now 24.
For the past year and a half, he has lived inside the temple…
sleeping on the floor, waking before sunrise,
and caring for the space every single day.
He didn’t do this for money.
He didn’t do it for recognition.
He did it because he felt called.
.
But the reality is… he is struggling
The temple is still not a livable space.
The walls are open and damp
The winters are harsh
The monsoon brings moisture, cold, and illness
There is no proper room, no bed, no protection
Over the past year, Kuldeep has fallen sick multiple times.
And still… he continues.
Still opening the temple every day.
Still welcoming people with a smile.
Still holding the energy of the space for everyone else.
But now… it’s time to support him.
Our intention: Build him a simple home within the temple
We are raising £1,200 to build:
A small private room
A basic kitchen space
A simple toilet
Nothing luxurious.
Just something safe, warm, and dignified.
So that Kuldeep can not just survive…
but rest, recover, and continue his seva sustainably.
Why this matters
This temple is not just a building anymore.
It is:
- A sanctuary in the chaos of Rishikesh
- A home for music, art, and devotion
- A space where people from all walks of life come together
And none of this exists without Kuldeep.
If the temple is the heart…
he is the one keeping it beating.
What you helped create last year
Because of you:
✨ The temple was restored
✨ Artists filled the walls with sacred art
✨ A real community was born
✨ Hundreds of people have experienced peace in this space
You didn’t just donate.
You helped bring something sacred back to life.
Now we ask… can we complete the circle?
We’ve restored the temple.
Now let’s restore the life of the person who has devoted himself to it.
From us, from the heart
Meera & Zaira
If you feel called to support…
Every contribution, big or small, will go directly towards building this space for Kuldeep.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this story means just as much.
Let’s make sure the person holding this sacred space… is held too.
