Support for Cancer Warrior's Second Battle

I am starting this go fund me on behalf of my best friend in the world, who has always been my pillar of strength. My mother has battled cancer once before and won, but 30 years later it has come back. It is the same as before triple negative extremely aggressive and unlike the last time she does not have insurance to back her with the cost of this life altering illness. We have been living abroad in Budapest for the past 5 years, I had my son there and watching my mother become a full time grandmother. She is amazing and honestly the rock of our family. But recently we have been missing home and missing the states we decided as a family to move back so my son could be raising there and she could spend her remaining years near her family and friends. Just before leaving Budapest she found a lump in the exact same breast she found it 30 years prior. She tried to be strong and we all tried to be positive telling ourselves and each her that it was hopefully nothing. I went with her for a mammogram and ultrasound and immediately the doctor was able to tell, the minute she said it’s a tumor and from the shape and definition it looks malignant I burst into tears. My mom made jokes, trying her best to put on a cheerful face for me, but I could see how her entire world shattered. She was so looking forward to getting home and reconnecting with her friend and family. To taking my son Brennan to Disney and the beach for the first time, teaching him how to swim and now she wasn’t sure if she would be around.

Again we tried to be positive as the doctor recommended we get a biopsy as soon as possible. We were leaving for Orlando in a week so we scheduled it for 4 days before we left. We told ourselves it was not the same tumor as before, hopefully it would be not as aggressive and not triple negative. Once again we were gutted when we received the email that said it was triple negative and one of the rarest and most aggressive types of breast cancer there is. Again my mother made jokes, we all cried as a family and hugged and I for the first time in my life briefly had a glimpse about what life would be like without my best friend in the world, without the women who has supported me my entire life without question, without this magnificent human being who made life so much better. But I soon got over this idea and started calling hospitals in Florida to get her double mastectomy scheduled as soon as possible. Then I was dealt a further blow that felt like somehow the biggest hit yet. My mother being out of the country for the past almost 6 years has only had Medicare part A which we learned only covered the hospital part of a bi-lateral mastectomy and not the physicians costs. She won’t be able to enroll until January for part B which according to her doctor would be detrimental considering how aggressive and fast growing her tumor is. I’m creating this go fund me begging everyone who knows my mom and even those who don’t to please help her have a fighting chance. This is a women who gave it her all the first time and has spend her entire life putting others first, she has already said that she will not put our family into tremendous debt in order to save herself, and while I would cut off my own arm to save her I don’t have the money currently to support her. So I’m pleading please give anything you can to help me, because this women needs to continue to exist in this world. Her husband needs her, I as her daughter need her, and Brennan her grandson desperately needs to be able to remember her.
