My name is Angie and I'm fundraising for my brother, Jason Williams.
Jason had a seizure the beginning of last month and his life has changed drastically.
He does not have insurance and could not get into doctors/hospitals to have testing done to determine what is going on. He was finally able to get a CT scan that showed a mass on his brain. After having to wait over a week, he was able to get the MRI scan on his brain and it showed a primary high-grade glioma and a smaller mass that could represent metastasis. He was transported to Shands in Gainesville on October 28th after having a very bad seizure. After a full body scan was completed, a mass was found on his colon and a spot on his liver. A biopsy was performed, and colon cancer has been confirmed. Testing has just been completed on the liver and the spot is cancer from the colon. Radiation target treatments on his brain will begin on Tuesday with actual radiation starting on Wednesday, hopefully. The team will be meeting on Thursday to discuss the test results of the colon and liver to determine the treatment options for those.
Jason is only 51 years old and has always worked hard to support his family. Jason means the world to me and to many others. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Being self-employed, he has not been able to work for almost a month now and it is uncertain when or if he will be able to return. His income has completely stopped. The bills have continued to come in and now the medical bills will soon start. Any amount that is given will help him and Sherry, so they can focus on his healing and not worry about how the next bill will get paid. If you aren't able to give, please keep Jason and the family in your prayers, (even if you can give, please pray). Prayer and positive thoughts will bring Jason through this. He's a fighter and God is on his side!
