Bring Lachlan Home
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kellie and I am speaking words of my beautiful sister and her family, to bring my brother in law, her husband, and the father to her children home.
We don’t often ask for help, but sometimes life puts you in a place where you have no choice but to reach out.
“Five years ago, Lachlan and I were newlyweds, about to set off on a six-week dream honeymoon across the US. But that adventure was cut short before it even began. The morning after our wedding, while reading our love-filled wedding cards, Lach experienced a sudden seizure in our hotel room.
It was a frightening and unexpected start to married life. He suffered a broken shoulder and spent six months unable to drive. Still, we stayed hopeful and rebooked the trip - only for COVID to cancel everything again.
Now, after years of setbacks, Lach finally made it to the US. He’s been able to celebrate his younger brothers College Graduation, visit the Holy Mecca of Apple and cheer live at an NBA game - things he’d talked about for so long. He was just two days away from coming home.
Then this morning, everything changed.
Sadly, Lach has suffered two more seizures, which have left him hospitalised in the US with both shoulders broken. While he’s receiving incredible care and thankfully with immediate family, we’re doing all we can to bring him home safely to WA.
Our travel insurance is working on it, but these processes take time. If you’re able to contribute anything to help us cover the costs of bringing Lach home, we would be so grateful. Any support - big or small - means the world to me and our two little ones waiting here for him.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us through something we never imagined we’d face”.
We are all waiting for you Lach, come home soon
