Hi my name is Matilda and I am raising some money for 3 different causes this April. The causes I have chosen are 4th Deal brownies, Talk It Out mental health charity offering support to people struggling with mental health in my home town. And lastly to help Ruby Roberts to go to Africa and help support local communities with Camps International.

Each of these causes is close to my heart.

How am I raising this money? I asked my mum if we could take the trains none stop to Tromsø in the North of Norway. We watch Race Across the World, so this is our race to the Arctic, to get there in the quickest time possible. We are going to cover 3000 kms in 4 days by trains. This will include night trains and many different changes at international stations. It will cover 6 countries. We will be doing it all on a budget of £160 to include meals, drinks, any entertainment etc over 4 days. To get this budget we looked at the price of a last minute flight LON - TRO today and it would cost us £499 each x 2 of us. We have an interrail pass so we deducted that cost of a interrail pass and the train reservation fees. That leaves us with £160 to spend over 4 days on the way to the Arctic. It works out at £20 per person per day. It's going to be hard because I love to spend money for a good holiday.
