Lucy's Stitched Hugs

Lucy is a girl with a big idea and an even bigger heart.
When she was just 9 years old she started a project she calls "Lucy's Stitched Hugs".   

 She started with making over 3 dozen pies for family and friends to earn money for supplies then in 2017 alone she made 105 quilts, 54 stuffed animals, and 30 large pocket pillows!   All of these were donated to a local organization that helps homeless families attain housing and stability.    She has also donated to refugees and children placed in emergency placement foster care.

Each year she has made more and more, and after only 4 years reaching over 1500 donations!!! She is relying on donated supplies and funds and has also sold her Lego collection for funds and and asked for supplies in place of presents for herself for Christmases and Birthdays.  

Her goal is to continue making stitched hugs!  She is currently donating most of her quilts and stuffed animals to Legacy Hospital.  

2 years ago she had to go to the ER for an allergic reaction and when she heard they didn't have any stuffed animals for the kids there she immediately wanted to get to work for them!

This year alone she has donated over 400 stuffed animals, quilts, and pillows to Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital!
