Hi, my name is Ezra. I'm a trans man living in Ontario, Canada, and I'm desperately trying to raise money for my best friend Yasmine to return for good.

Yasmine is a trans woman currently living stealth in Egypt. Unfortunately, it's extremely dangerous for her to live her authentic self, both from the government and abusive family. She's trapped presenting as male, with no opportunity to be who she truly is, and it's slowly killing her.

With an old permanent residency in Ontario, Yasmine is able to apply for Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds to renew it and get back safely. The only problem is funding a lawyer to help out and ensure it gets done properly. Current lawyer estimates range from $5000 to $6000 CAD.

What's the plan when she gets here? Yasmine will live in my spare room while she gets on her feet. As soon as her PR is renewed, and she's able to legally work, she'll find a job (there are a couple of folks willing to refer her to their employers already!). She'll have access to the same gender clinic and medications that I do, plus my closet full of my old feminine clothing. And she'll finally be able to live as her true self, not having to hide who she is.
