Help us raise funds for new tipi!
Donation protected
In January of this year our beautiful tipi unexpectedly had its final day!
This tipi has held some profound healing and transformation and we are so so grateful for its time with us. We are also incredibly thankful to John and Renie for funding this first tipi. It was a second-hand tipi that enabled us to move the Yana Hey prayer to the land at Hiampe Wasi in November 2018.
We now call on the extended Yana Hey community - friends and family - to help us raise the funds for a new tipi before the Equinox (March 20th)! We are also calling in funds to make a few little upgrades to the ceremony space at Hiampe Wasi so we can create a more abundant and accessible space for the benefit of the existing community and the community to come! Any and all support would be greatly appreciated.
The vision for the next three months includes a new tipi with additional rain/wind protection; a paved tipi flooring; drainage infrastructure and completing the staircase going down to the ceremony space.
New Tipi including shipping and GST is $5940
This includes
- A 26 footer in 14 ounce cotton poly canvas from Ray at Rainbow Tipis
- External vinyl cover
- Rain cover/bonnet
Paved Tipi flooring and drainage $3,000
Grant McKenzie from www.zotima.com.au has generously offered to donate his time to organise and manage the construction of the tipi flooring and drainage. We shall be hosting a working bee dedicated to this.
Estimated drainage cost - $500
Estimated paving materials including $2,500
Finish the Steps going between ceremony space and house $1,483.77
John, with the help of community, begun the steps more than a year ago. This is the estimated cost of materials to complete the steps.
GoFundMe contribution/taxes $300
All additional funds raised will go towards the ongoing development and maintenance at Hiampe Wasi. Other projects include:
- Reimburse John for Pit Toilet $1,662.56
- recycled plastic mats for flooring of tipi https://www.recycledmats.com.au/
- Shed for storage down near tipi
- Landscaping/planting on sides of the steps
- Fix water damage in caravans
- Bell tent accomodation
2020 has already been a breath-taking year. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to gather in community and offer this work . Thank you to all the support we have received in spirit, on the land at working bees and sharing your beautiful selves in ceremony. Gracias gracias gracias mis hermanos and hermanas.
In love,
Jamie and Kat
