YAKIMA VALLEY HUMAN RIGHTS CONSORTIUM
A project of Yakima Beach Permacultural Collective.
(Permaculture=Earth Care + People Care + Fair Share)
Please join us in growing a better tomorrow!
Our plan is straightforward: We want to start a community wide conversation about human rights.
Why? Because they offer bridge building solutions that all of us can bring to the table daily at our work, in our homes and in third spaces.
So we're going to:
Step 1: Get the UDHR into as many hands as possible locally and invite conversation.
Step 2: Hold a Human Rights arts contest, inviting people to engage with the ideas in the document.
That's it!
Want to help further the cause? Sponsor some booklets here or visit our website to buy some and distribute them to your own people. The passport sized booklets are $1 each.
If there's somewhere specific you'd like your sponsored booklets to be delivered, please let us know.
The contest will begin on June 1 and end on December 10, International Human Rights Day. We hope to offer at least $1000 in prize money for artists who participate.
All proceeds will fund this local education project.
