Yachties and Industry Leaders, let's spread joy this Thanksgiving by coming together with our fellow yachties and industry leaders to put turkey dinners on the tables for those who would otherwise go without. How much better will your own meal taste, knowing that another family has come together over a meal because of your generosity?
Florida has provided us with a base to find work and flourish, repair, and further our education. It is the place we reconnect and relax. This year, we show our home-away-from-home some love.
We have connected with a local non-profit to distribute 5 Blue Apron turkey boxes this Thanksgiving. We are looking to raise $675 to cover the purchase. They will be delivered to 5 young teenage leaders here in South Florida. These young women are from less fortunate backgrounds and are being raised by single mothers. They are actively involved in helping coach and empower their peers in the Fort Lauderdale area. They have little for themselves but give so much to the groups that they lead. We want to show them some well-deserved love and send them a meal to put on the tables for their families this Thanksgiving.
To respect the girls' privacy we will not be sharing their names but all donations will be going to the Blue Apron boxes. If we beat our goal we will spread the love further to more families in need.
With all of the abundance in our industry, let's never forget the needs of those ashore.
